This was what I thought was a follow-up visit to my previous one three months prior. He had asked me to make the appointment after I saw him in May. Dr. Ciotola walks into the exam room and barely says hi and then immediately goes to his instrument tray and takes out the clippers. He then starts cutting my toenails which didn’t really need cutting. My nails are now down to my skin. When I asked about a culture taken during the previous visit he asked if he had called me. When I said no, he said, then it must have been ok. He did go to check to make sure and came back with the findings.. He should have been prepared with my history, etc. from the previous appointment when he walked into my exam room. My whole impression of the visit is He could have cared less about me. My reasons for seeing him were not significant enough or of real interest to him. Will I be returning, NO!

I was having terrible back pain due to my painful bunions.I had a non invasive bilateral bunion surgery. I had great results. It was a day surgery and was able to return to work in two weeks. Overall a good visit with Dr. Mishra! He explained things in a direct manner to address my ingrown toenail. He had to administer a numbing solution with a few shots. He advised me that the shots would be painful, to take some deep breaths. He made me feel better that other patients have taken these shots much more fearful and that I did well with it. He showed me the ingrown toenail and it made me realize why I was being bothered by it. He gave me instructions how to care for my toenail at home for recovery.

I first met Dr. Ryan at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA after being admitted with a severely infected left foot. Dr. Ryan, against the odds, was able to perform surgery successfully , and with the help of antibiotics and excellent after-care, my foot remains intact and has healed. The prognosis was initially poor, and it was touch-and-go for awhile during the healing process, but due to his prescribed care, medical expertise, knowledge, and diligence as well as the care of the fabulous nursing staff, I walk again. In addition, he is kind, honest, and professional. I highly recommend him.

My appointments were honored as well as my desire to be contacted in the event of a cancellation, which did occur. Jackie from the office called and I had about 9 days to prepare. Dr. Ciotola wrote me notes to be out of work and to get my money back for an expensive out of town concert. All of this was successful. My surgery was at Lawrence General Hospital and the doctors, nurses, secretaries, and staff were all amazing. Dr. Ciotola took the stitches out of my foot yesterday, one week after surgery and told me I could ditch the crutches, so I would maintain muscle strength in that leg. Today, eight days later, I am walking without assistance, but with a lightweight boot on. I will continue to bring a crutch or cain with me, but only use it if I need it. I highly recommend Methuen Podiatry, Dr. Ciotola, and Lawrence General Hospital.

The entire office was professional. My intake provider was pleasant, kind and very pleasant. The actual intake questionnaire was three pages long and the most comprehensive I’ve ever encountered. Because of my position dealing with many whom battle SUD, I am convinced if more PCP utilized this type MORE honest dialogue could happen and more could be helped.
